On my last day of preparing for the Spring 2013 Wind-Mills & Bulbs IPT, I visited the Zaanse Schans and Marken. The weather was beautiful, sunny and fat white clouds.

Hee, daar kom ik vandaan. Die foto van die kwak is echt super, net een schilderij. En wat leuk dat je met een groep komt fotograferen op Marken volgend jaar. Ik heb het in m’n agenda gezet, kom ik wel even gedag zeggen. Maar ehm, aan Marken is niet veel 16e-eeuws hoor (zoals in het programma staat). Meeste huisjes zijn 19e-eeuws, en de Friese monniken hebben het dorp in de 13e eeuw gesticht…
Hè, toe nou
Brings back memories of the recent past. Sailing on the Gouwzee and driving the boat past the Zaanse Schans. I am sure you ate some “paling” along the way, right?
Clemens, this is what I like most about NL, a good BF5-6 wind, sunny and cloudy. The Gouwzee is the place to be then ! And be sure I will consume some fish. But it will mostly be a ‘zoute haring’. Onions and pickles included
